  Néologisme à partir de l'argot jaspiner (propos fielleux), à la place de jaspineur (rare). Croisement probable, au XVII eme siècle, entre jaser, l'ancien verbe jasper, 'aboyer', et les fréquentatifs issus de japper, comme jaspiller.
